Amy Howell has been on the island for all of three months. Coming from Saskatoon, Canada, she likes the small town quality of Cayman. Running marathons and playing rugby were Amy’s favourite pastimes, but since an ankle injury, she spends more time swimming and snorkelling. Working with children every day inspires Amy to have her own. She looks forward to getting married next summer. Amy’s favourite film is When A Man Loves A Woman, a story in which a family falls apart because the mother turns to alcohol. Her favourite book is similarly emotional: Angela’s Ashes tells of an Irish family that loses two children to starvation. However, Amy claims that nothing gets to her and she believes in the saying, “Don’t sweat the small stuff, because it is all small stuff in the end.” Click here for Caymanian of the Week Archive
