Sunrise Rotary twin visit
Tuesday, November 25, 2003
Sunrise Rotary, the newest breakfast Rotary
Club in Grand Cayman visited its twin club in Nassau, Bahamas for
the recent holiday weekend.
Fellowship Director, Berna Cummins and International Director Patrizia
Amante-Ebanks led the Sunrise party, consisting of 25 members and
guests.
The highlight of the party’s trip was a dinner with the Sunrise
Nassau Rotary Club members. Both clubs were formed at much the same
time in 2001 and both attract a similar group of young professionals.
“This sort of contact is invaluable,” said Patrizia
Amante-Ebanks. “We have made a lot of new friends, discussed
a bunch of new projects and have come back with all sorts of new
ideas which will benefit our various projects in Cayman.”
The Nassau Sunrise Rotary Club President agreed to arrange a similar
trip to Cayman before March 2004.
Sunrise Rotary has 62 members, mostly young professionals, from
Cayman and 13 other countries who meet for breakfast every week
at the Grand Old House and who undertake various projects for the
good of the community.
