George Town and East End win in A division netball

Red Bay put up a good fight against George Town |
Friday, November 28, 2003
George Town Primary continued its unbeaten run when the inter-primary netball competition continued last Friday.
They overcame a spirited challenge from Red Bay, particularly in the A League game when they had to come from behind to pull off a 7-4 win.
Home advantage did little to help the Red Bay girls though they can feel satisfied at having put up a good show in front of their peers.
Apolina Bent at wing defence and goal defence Maggie Greenwood were especially outstanding for George Town. The margin of victory in the B Division game was wider though the action was also compelling and George Town came away with a 7-2 triumph.
St Ignatius Catholic and East End Primary played to a thrilling finish in an A Division encounter at the Truman Bodden Complex. East End sneaked away with a 7-6 win. In the preceding B Division game Catholic cruised to a comfortable 4-0 win.
