Sunshine donates to Lions

The Sunshine Suites hotel presented a cheque to the Lions Club of Grand Cayman, on Wednesday, 17 December, from money raised during a special fundraising event, 40 Days Of Christmas."

Janine Aqui, director of international sales for the Sunshine Suites Resort, explained: "We wanted to do some charitable work that would put funds back into the community."

"We selected 40 days leading up to Christmas, during which, for corporate bookings, one dollar per night was donated."

In addition, the staff of the Sunshine Suites Hotel donated money, and decided to forego their usual corporate Christmas gifts, in order to increase the amount raised for the Lions Club 'Funds For the Needy' project which provides food, gifts and toys to people at Christmas.
