Leon Dilbert

"I love speed." Those are the words of Leon Dilbert. The 25-year-old says that speed is the reason behind his passion for hydro-tunnel boats. His own, a Mack-One five-seater, is affectionately known as, The Executioner. At its top speed, the boat can reach 100 miles per hour. 

Most Sundays you can find Leon racing with his friends, Tommy, Jay and Marco, on Duck Pond. "Tommy used to be the fastest on the water, but since he smashed up his motor, it's me," said Leon.

The race is the thrill but, for this single Caymanian, safety is always a priority. "When you race boats, you have to have two things, a life-jacket and a fire extinguisher. We don't go out without them."

Besides speed, Leon gets a thrill out of volleyball, football and pool.
