Island gets ready for Pro-Am golf tournament

The Britannia Golf Club has announced details of its Third Annual Pro-Am golf tournament. 

The event is attracting golf professionals from Canada and the United States, along with two local pros on island; Greg Downer of Britannia and Robert Cummings from the Sunrise Family Golf Centre. 

The golf professionals will be playing with local amateurs on 8 January through to 11 January. All guests are welcome to come watch the event. The tee times will run from 7 am to 1:40 pm on 9-11 January. 

Greg Downer from the Britannia Golf Club said: "This is the third annual event and each year the field seems to get stronger. It's the only event of its kind here in Grand Cayman; it has become a staple on everyone's calendar for years to come. 

"The event will be very exciting; we have some great young and talented golf professionals attending the tournament.
