Shorter turnaround time for survey verification
Wednesday, January 7, 2004
The Lands and Survey Department is taking measures to improve the turnaround time for verifying private and government surveys.
The department will be moving to a quality assessment checking system in the near future. "This should increase efficiency and reduce the amount of time it takes to examine surveys," comments Acting Chief and Senior Geomatician, Nigel Casswell. Currently verifications are completed though comprehensive technical checks.
Quality Control Officer, Rupert Vasquez is presently attending quality assurance training in London. On his return he will begin the implementation of the new system for checking surveys.
"As always, the department is striving to continue our high quality of service to clients," noted Lands and Survey Director, Clark Buchanan.
