At a small gathering at the Personnel Department on Wednesday, 7 January, Chief Financial Officer of the Portfolio of Internal and External Affairs (PIE) Ian Fenton received a plaque in recognition of his contribution in assisting and guiding colleagues.

Philip Jackson, Senior Human Resources Analyst in Personnel, spearheaded the presentation to "recognise Mr Fenton's tireless dedication and commitment." Also present were Permanent Secretary of Personnel Colin Ross, Deputy Permanent Secretary of Personnel Graham Wood, and various employees who work closely with Mr Fenton.

"We feel that Ian has contributed way beyond his job description and he has certainly garnered the respect of his colleagues and the agencies within the portfolio through his actions and professional integrity," said Mr Jackson. "Ian can be described as a roll-up your sleeves, hands-on employee who goes the extra mile."

In response, Mr Fenton said: "There is no praise greater than that from your colleagues and I am very grateful for and touched by this gesture."
He went on to say that he enjoyed working in the PIE and was impressed by the professionalism and commitment displayed by his colleagues in the Portfolio.
