In advance of the final portion of the East end surf Challenge on Hero's Day, Monday, 26 January, Cayman Net News continues it's profile of those taking part in the event.

Dominique Foster
Twenty-one-year-old Dominique has been jet skiing for five years and just loves to ride. "I ride every other Sunday, just for the fun of it," he says.
Competing in the Modified Class for the Wes-Tec team, Dominique doesn't think about winning the competition, he just looks forward to the challenge and the enjoyment of the event.

Shane Edwards
As organizer, promoter, and a top competitor of the event, this East End Resident is confidant that he will come out on top.

Racing for five years, Shane says, "The East End Surf Challenge is a great spectator sport and very exciting for the participants and everyone that comes out to the event and I am very pleased at the turnout of riders this year."

Shane also says that safety is very important in the event.

"Everyone raced with safety in mind," he says, "Safe racing makes for great competition, and a wonderful event."

Racing for the 2frenzied team in the modified class, the 34-year-old got into the sport because he found it interesting and loves the water.

Shane is racing on a Kawasaki STXR 1200.
