Dealing with a multitude questions from hundreds of visitors every day, National Museum shop manager Launa Batten from West Bay considers herself a bit of an authority on the Cayman Islands. "I answer so many questions, I'm like an ambassador for the island," says Launa. Despite suffering from Lupus, Launa refuses to let life get her down. "If you have a good spirit, you can keep going." 'Keeping going' doesn't seem to be a problem for Launa who, despite recovering from knee surgery, took part in the Cancer Society's Half Marathon last weekend. "I felt a bit of pain the next day, but I just got up and started walking again." If Laura had one wish for 2004 it would be inform people about Lupus. "So many people in Cayman suffer from Lupus but not enough is known about it," she says.
