Young riders show off their jumping skills

The Caribbean Equestrian Association 2004 Junior Jumping Competition took place at the Equestrian Centre, George Town, on Saturday, 31 January and Sunday, 1 February.

Featured in the event were young riders from three teams, Barbados, Trinidad, and the Cayman Islands, with three riders in each team.

The teams were divided into two groups, according to age, 16-and-under and 12-and under. The Cayman Islands team consisted of Alex Harvey (12 and under), Melanie McTaggart, and Jodie McTaggart. 
The show jumping course consisted of eight jumps, with a maximum height of 3ft for the 16-and-under group, and 2ft 6in for the 12-and-under group. 

Overall there was a tie between the three teams. The event also included a dressage demonstration given by Richard Watson.
