Tennis players battle it out in Masters Tournament

The Cayman Islands Tennis Club is hosting the Inaugural Ramon Alberga Masters Open Tournament this week in Grand Cayman. 

The tournament, which began earlier in the week, has some of the top players on the island, with 90 players competing in this event. The tournament runs through until Saturday, 7 February and begins at 5:30. All matches are open to the public.

The tournament is named after Ramon Alberga, OBE, QC, who was the former president of the Cayman Islands Tennis Club. A member since the club's inception in 1978, Mr Alberga was an integral part of the tennis club's development. He is still feared on the court, and at 75, is competing in three events in the tournament.
