Little Cayman to Celebrate Mardi Gras

Little Cayman will host its "lucky 13th" celebration of Mardi Gras this Saturday. The festivities will begin with a parade from Head O'Bay to Hungry Iguana at 4.30 pm. 

This year's King and Queen of Mardi Gras are Ed and Gay Morse. Mrs Morse said: "The theme this year will be all about celebrating nature and is titled Creator's Glory. 

"Resident homeowners and the resorts will be putting together floats and costumes reflecting sea life and other pertinent nature aspects of our island. 

"We have three judges coming from Cayman Brac and Grand Cayman to award the prizes for best float, best costume and most humorous."

This year's venue for the Dinner/Dance will be at Pirate's Point. The dinner will begin at 6:30 pm. and continue throughout the evening with the dance. 

Reservations are needed and there is still space available. Call Pirate's Point Resort at 948-1010 to make a reservation.
