Police probe sudden death

Detectives from the George Town Criminal Investigation Department (CID) are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 57-year-old American male visitor, which happened near North Sound.

The Emergency Communications Centre (911) got the report regarding a man who was found lying face down in the water at 9:44 am. 

Paramedics with assistance from fire officers, responded to the scene and the man was taken to Cayman Islands Hospital where he was pronounced dead. 

A post-mortem examination will be held to determine the cause of death.
