- It's unfortunate that the CBA has to resort to this, to challenging the act of granting status to so many people in what would seem to be a very affirming process; that is, the granting of status to deserving applicants. Somehow with the UDP's lumping together all applications, some deserving, some not, it had made the whole process distasteful. Also it has divided Caymanians on the granting of status issue. This process should have been left in the hands of the Immigration Dept; after all, these are the people that normally make the decision that someone has met the criteria for status. I think it might be in the best interest of the Islands, if the statuses were looked at a second time. Maybe they could eliminate the undeserving and keep the ones that are legitimate. Maybe this would go along way in rectifying the problem -
