Student Hurt In Nightclub Brawl
Tuesday, March 30, 2004
A student from St Matthew's University Medical School had to have 19 stitches to his face following a fracas at the O-Bar night club recently.
"He had a very serious facial injury and received the stitches from his mouth up to the top of his cheek, just under the eye," said Police Sergeant Mike
Cansell.
Two other people involved in the incident were a 21-year-old woman who suffered two black eyes and a broken nose, and a 26-year-old woman who was not seriously injured.
All three were taken to the Cayman Islands Hospital for treatment.
They were later questioned by police and subsequently involved in a meeting to try to resolve the issue without charges being brought.
It is understood those talks broke down and all three have been charged with public order offences.
