
Women writers honour Corine Solomon

The winners of last month’s Honouring Women writing competition have been
selected, with Corine Solomon taking first prize, followed by Nasaria Suckoo and
Venita Ryan.
Mrs Solomon received her certificate and $100 cash prize from the Women’s
Resource Centre Programme Manager, Tammy Ebanks Bishop and Michael Moriarity,
the administrator of Cricket Square Ltd, which sponsored the top prize.
In the winning piece, entitled There is Desert for Every Great Man,
Mrs Solomon wrote on the challenges of raising her children along with her
husband of 41 years, and of how, as a young mother, she dealt with these
challenges and responsibilities.
