Mother’s Day this year falls on Sunday 9th May and the various stores that are part of Island Companies Ltd. (ICL) have wonderful gift ideas that will help make Mother’s day even more special. Cayman Net News talked to employees from British Outpost – Designer Jewellery II, Grand Switzerland Designer Jewellery, London Jewellers and Landmark Jewellers to give you an insight into what they have in store for Mother’s Day … don’t forget all the stores mentioned have an amazing array of gifts to delight every mother this year. British Outpost – Designer Jewellery II Claudette Murray, originally from Jamaica, has lived in Grand Cayman for nearly 10 years. Working as part of the six-person-strong team at the British Outpost – Designer Jewellery II store that is based downtown George Town. Ms Murray has been with ICL for seven years. Before moving to the British Outpost store in January, she managed the Brazilian Gems store. “I love meeting people and interacting with customers,” Ms Murray said, “Special care is taken of all our customers.” British Outpost has many gift ideas for Mother’s Day and is offering great savings on jewellery. All precious gems including tanzanite, diamonds, emeralds and sapphires are priced at 20% off throughout the month. May also sees discount savings in other lines such as Seiko watches, which are all reduced by 35%, and an everyday gold sale with 50% discounts. The store features Swarovski crystal jewellery, which is both pretty and inexpensive, and the Swarovski collectable crystal ornaments that each come individually gift boxed. In today’s “cell phone” society, British Outpost has the ideal product for those concerned about electronic pollution. Phillip Stein watches protect the wearer from electronic pollution, and right now there is 15% off these watches. “Cheri Dori is a new, fun and modern jewellery collection that would be an ideal gift for a child to give to their mother this Mother’s Day, since the buyer decides how the piece of jewellery is assembled,” Ms Murray said. London Jewellers As mother of eight-year old Elissa, Christina Rea has plenty of experience as to how wonderful Mother’s Day can be. Ms Rea has been with ICL for the past nine years and has managed the London Jewellers store based in the Anchorage Centre for the past year. “London Jewellers has an array of fine designer jewellery,” Ms Rea said. “The Omega two-tone necklace would be a perfect and affordable Mother’s Day gift. Coming from England, Ms Lang is the mother of two daughters Emma, nine, and Samantha, seven. “The Grand Switzerland store here at the Anchorage Centre has a wide range of designer jewellery at affordable prices that would make the perfect Mother’s Day gift,” Ms Lang said. Landmark Jewellers Penny Kapetaneas is the Assistant Manager of the Landmark store that is located on the waterfront in downtown George Town. Originally from Toronto, Ms Kapetaneas now calls Cayman her home. A mother of two grown sons, she is looking forward to becoming a grandmother very soon. “I love the peacefulness of the Island and I love working in the Landmark store.
