The Cayman Islands Little League season ends on Saturday at the Field of
Dreams Complex with a day of fun for the whole family, including an exciting
slate of games and a chance to win US$25,000 in the organisation’s annual
raffle.
Division titles will be on the line, with many teams playing championship
games, beginning in the morning and running throughout the late afternoon.
The action starts at 9 am when the Tee Ball all-star teams face off.
There will be a Knockout tournament between the three teams in the 13-15
division, and the losing team from the season gets a free pass to the finals.
Championship Saturday offers an enjoyable family day at the ballpark, with
many children’s attractions such as a bouncy castle, a dunk tank, a Dinoslide,
and a merry-go-round for the smaller children.
Little league players in uniform will eat for free, while others can feast on
fresh grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and other picnic food available from the
Field of Dreams Cafe.
One lucky fan will walk away from the ballpark US$25,000 richer by winning
the League’s annual raffle held that afternoon. The raffle also offers a second
place prize of US$10,000, and US$1,000 for five lucky people.
Raffle tickets are CI$25 each. Tickets will also be available at the Field of
Dreams on Saturday.
People with raffle tickets will be admitted free to Championship Saturday.
For others, there will be a $10 admission.
