New immigration forms are available

All new forms and related information following the new Immigration Regulations 2004, which came into effect on 18 May, are now available from the Immigration Department’s headquarters on Grand Cayman and on Cayman Brac, or may be downloaded from the department’s website (www.gov.ky/immigration).

The department will continue to accept applications submitted on old forms until Friday, 18 June. However, employers and employees are encouraged to make every effort to use the new forms.

As a result of the new Immigration Regulations, the Immigration Department now requires that the full amount of fees accompany all new applications.

However, this is not being complied with in terms of recent applications being submitted via the department’s drop-off box.

Chief Immigration Officer, Gerry Maguire said that such failure to comply would cause delays in the processing of applications.
