Centre

Wednesday, June 2, 2004

The Concert of a Lifetime took place in front of a packed Lions Centre in George Town on Saturday, 29 May.

The concert, to raise money for the Adventist Disaster Relief Agency (ADRA), was organised by promoters AJM ltd, in conjunction with Hosanna Universal Music Ministries, (HUM) of Jamaica.

Andrea Bryan from HUM ministries explained the purpose of the event: “This is basically to lift up the name of Jesus, and to help others who are in need.

“Proceeds from this concert will go towards helping Adventist Disaster Relief Agency (ADRA). They are the ones responsible here to help people in case of disaster, to build back people’s homes, and so forth.”

The evening’s performers included Roger Mike and Michael Harris who had come from the USA.

The Endurers, a six-piece a-capella singing group from Jamaica, enchanted the audience with their multi-layered gospel harmonies.

Local performers included Renay McKnight and the Panoramas, and 12-year old Jamesette Anglin.
