Playwright speaks at fellowship banquet

Tuesday, June 8, 2004

Businessman and playwright Colin Wilson will be the guest speaker at the 21st anniversary banquet of the Grand Cayman chapter of Full Gospel Businessmen’s Fellowship International (FGBFI) on Saturday, 12 June at Ottmar’s restaurant on West Bay Road.

Originally from England, Wilson has been a resident of Grand Cayman for 23 years. On his arrival, he worked as a chartered building surveyor with Arch and Godfrey construction and then later started his own surveying and building business, JEC Building Construction.

He later founded and managed the TV station CITN, which he sold last year.

Mr Wilson holds several positions in his church, St George’s Anglican, where he was recently licensed as a chalice bearer.

FGBMFI first started in the Cayman Islands in 1983 and the current president is Scott Elphinstone of Five Continents bank.

National President of FGBMFI in the Cayman Islands, Harold Paramlall said: “Mr Wilson’s testimony should be very interesting and we look forward to an evening of great fellowship.”

Tickets for the dinner can be obtained from chapter members or Mr Elphinstone on 949-0942 and Mr Paramlall on 949-5720.
