Traffic warning for parade

Thursday, June 10, 2004

The Traffic Department has advised motorists that in order to accommodate a full dress rehearsal for the Queen’s Birthday parade in front of the Legislative Assembly, these roads will be closed on Friday, 11 June from 6 am until the end of the rehearsal: Fort Street, Albert Panton Street, Edward Street and Doctor Roy’s Drive at the junction of Edward Street

The roads will also be closed from 6 am to 11 am on Saturday, 12 June for the Queen’s Birthday Parade starting at 10 am. No vehicles will be allowed to park on the closed streets.

In previous years the Queen’s Birthday Parade was usually held on a Monday. However, this year’s parade will be on a Saturday and the full rehearsal is scheduled for Friday.

Co-operation from all motorists is being requested and families are encouraged to come out and enjoy the parade.
