The Cayman Hotrod Association hosted a Tropical Cruise Night on the evening
of Saturday, 5 June in a parking lot outside A L Thompson’s Home Depot, George
Town.
Some car owners were fortunate enough to have more than one rather special
car to their name:
“This is 1966 230 SL Mercedes, There’s only two of these on the island,” said
the proud owner, Mike Jackson. “I have completely restored this car. It took a
lot of man-hours to get the bodywork so perfect.”
Another of Mike’s cars is a 1965 Corvette Stingray. “I brought it in Phoenix
Arizona. It used to belong to Reggie Jackson the baseball player,” he said.
Cayman Hotrod Association Chairperson for the Tropical Cruise Night
committee, Yvette Jordison said: “It’s a night of fun for everyone to come out
and have a good time.”
