The Athlete’s Foot sponsored “Gator” race car powered its way to second place in the Cayman Hot Rod Association’s (CHRA) drag race on Sunday, 6 June. The Gator, driven by Alex Haedo, and owned and built by Rohelio Wright, is the fastest car in the Cayman Islands, holding the Caymanian record for the quarter mile race of 10.21 seconds at 135 miles per hour.

The drag race at the High Rock Raceway, East End, was part of a fun-filled weekend from the CHRA, which included a Stars ‘n Cars cruising night on Saturday, 5 June as well as Sunday’s race.

“The Athlete’s Foot places great importance on involvement with local sporting events and helping all athletes enhance their performance,” commented Athlete’s Foot Manager Tony Keely. “We are happy to be involved with car’s sponsorship and with CHRA events.”
