Sherri Not Running

Sherri Bodden-Cowan
Tuesday, June 15, 2004
Attorney Sherri Bodden-Cowan confirmed to Cayman Net News that she would not
seek a seat in the Legislative Assembly in November’s general elections, putting
an end to widespread speculation that she would run in the district of George
Town.
Mrs Bodden-Cowan, who was awarded the MBE for service to government and the
community by HM the Queen on Saturday, indicated that family and business
commitments made running in the 2004 election impossible.
She has served on several Government boards in recent years, and most
recently as Chairperson of the Immigration Review Team, which piloted the new
Immigration Law. Mrs Bodden-Cowan is currently serving as Chairperson of the
Business Staffing Plan Board.
