course on Job Analysis, Documentation, and Evaluation

The Cayman Islands Society for Human Resource Professionals (CISHRP), in
collaboration with the Personnel Department of the Cayman Islands Government,
has announced the second in a series of three courses for the Certificate in
Global Remuneration Administration.
The Certificate is made through the World at Work Organisation, which is
sending the instructors to Cayman. The three-course module began in May with
“Job Analysis, Documentation, and Evaluation”. The second course, called “Base
Pay Management”, will be offered from 15 – 17 July. The final of the three
courses will be offered in September 2004.
Commenting on the success of the first course, the Society’s Director for
Professional Development, Philip Jackson, said: “ I took one of the World at
Work courses in the US, and when paying airfare, hotel accommodation, and the
course fees, the total cost was approximately $2,000. By making these courses
available on the Island, at such a great price of approximately $300, a
significant savings in cost and time is realised.”
CISHRP President Mario E. Ebanks said: “I was impressed with the instructor,
the course material, and the class discussions. The final examination was
challenging and representative of the learning material from the two-day course.
I am hoping that all courses are fully subscribed, as this course is a great
benefit to members of our HR Society.”
Both Mr Ebanks and Mr Jackson took the May course, and are scheduled to take
the July course as well.
The CISHRP is a locally-registered professional non-profit organisation, to
which all human resource (HR) professionals, practitioners, and HR
students/scholars can apply for membership.
World at Work Society of Certified Professionals is a not-for-profit
organisation dedicated to providing knowledge leadership and certification in
the human resource disciplines of compensation, benefits, and total rewards.
The cost of each module is CI$295.00 for Members of the CISHRP, and CI$385.00
for non-members (which includes the membership fee for new eligible members of
the Society).
A non-refundable deposit will be necessary. The deadline for the 15 July
course is Friday, 9 July.
To register, interested participants may apply through the Society’s website,
or contact Mario Ebanks (premier@candw.ky)
or Philip Jackson (philip.jackson@gov.ky).
