New Curves Fitness Centre opens up
Friday, July 9, 2004
Waco-based Curves International, Inc., the world’s largest fitness centre
franchise, has announced the opening of a new centre in Grand Cayman.
To celebrate opening, the centre is to host a special grand opening promotion
during the week of July 19th.
“We are excited to become part of the Grand Cayman community,” said Diane
Corich, the franchisee owner.
“Curves offers a comfortable, welcoming place where real women workout. Our
facility is designed so women can encourage and support one another while moving
around the circuit
“We look forward to helping women in this community reach amazing results,
both physical and emotional, through our Curves Workout program and support
network.”
The company is aiming to offer residents a supportive environment, including
a special thirty-minute fitness solution with a common sense weight loss
programme, to help break the weight loss cycle.
With the average person gaining three pounds a year, a reasonable workout
regime that can fit into today’s busy lifestyle of work and family, is critical
to help combat diabetes, osteoporosis, hypertension and other health risks that
women face.
The Curves Workout program, designed by Gary Heavin and his wife and
co-founder Diane, is utilised at every Curves location. Experienced instructors
offer one-on-one training, while members talk and inspire one another during a
workout.
Since the first Curves franchise opened in 1995, the organisation has
expanded to more than 1,500 centres. The company has more than 2 million members
in more than 7,000 locations within the United States, Canada, Spain, Mexico and
the UK.
