Friday, July 16, 2004
Two men are now in custody and an investigation has been launched following
an attempted theft at a West Bay Road condominium complex around 11:50pm on
Tuesday night.
One occupant, sitting on a patio at one of the units, was approached by a man
who threatened him and demanded money be handed over.
The occupant refused and the suspect, described as of dark complexion and
wearing black clothing, fled from the location running along the beach.
The victim placed an emergency call to the 911 Centre who then dispatched
police units.
Following a planned response by police units, a cordon was placed around the

Police personnel manned the beach to the south and north of the complex and
also the units on West Bay Road. As a result of their response, two suspects
were found at separate locations and arrested in connection with the incident.
The incident is now under investigation and the two people arrested are been
