NFL Cayman Challenge airs on prime time TV

Dedicated sports fans gathered at Durty Reid’s (above) to watch the much anticipated NFL Cayman Challenge.

Amongst those gathered to see the show were representatives from two of the show’s major sponsors, Mark Bastis and Rod McDowall of the Hyatt Regency Resort, and Red Sail Sports, respectively.

The one-hour special gave tremendous exposure to the Cayman Islands, and was filmed entirely on Grand Cayman.

It featured current NFL players contending in a series of team- competition sporting events for cash prizes, which were donated to the charity of their choice.

In addition to the competition, the one-hour special also included vignettes chronicling the athletes’ and their families’ vacations on the island.

The annual NFL Cayman Challenge was a joint venture between the Cayman Islands Department of Tourism and the NFL.
