Radio station closes down

Monday, July 19, 2004

A popular local radio station has been taken off the air after the company behind it decided to relocate and restructure.

Station Ocean95 has announced what has been described as a “temporary cessation” of broadcasting following a decision by owner Gregg Anderson.

Mr Anderson said: “We are relocating and reorganising the radio station which requires us to go off air.

“We ask our customers and listeners to bear with us during this period.

“We will be back with your favourite music and additional programming, using the latest technology to enhance your listening further.”

Reader comments:

  • No wonder I can’t find Ocean on my radio. With all the new radio stations lately I was wondering if they got your dial. Hurry and retune that 95 Greg so I can sit back and listen to some good 70's & 80's classics. Keep up the great music - Craig
