Four RCIP Officers recently received Bachelor of Law degrees from the
University of Liverpool through the Cayman Islands Law School.
The graduates were Superintendent Fabian Sambula LL.B with honours, Chief
Inspector Greg Thompson LL.B with honours, Detective Sergeant Kathleen Ryan LL.B
with honours, and Sergeant Delroy Davis LL.B.
Police Commissioner Buel Braggs commended their achievement, saying: “Not
only is this a personal gain for the officers, but the RCIP will undoubtedly
benefit from this wealth of knowledge and experience.”
Superintendent Sambula is a 35-year police veteran, and Second Officer in
Charge of the District Operations Branch of the Uniform Section. He has
previously worked in the Traffic Department and the Criminal Investigation
Department.
Chief Inspector Thompson is the Officer in Charge at George Town police
station. He has been a police officer for 15 years, and has worked at George
Town and East End police stations, the Drugs Task Force (DTF) and the Financial
Crime Unit (FCU).
Detective Sergeant Kathleen Ryan is stationed at West Bay police station’s
Criminal Investigation Department (CID). She joined the force in 1994 and has
previously worked in the uniform branch.
Sergeant Delroy Davis works at West Bay Police station. He joined the service
in 1987, and he previously worked in the Uniform Section, DTF and the
Intelligence Unit.
