CIFA receives lease for Training Centre

Recently the Cayman Islands Football Association was approved a lease to create a National Training centre, which will be developed over three years.

In 2001, CIFA was selected to benefit from the GOAL project and in order to receive monetary contribution the land had to have been selected this year.

The training centre will include several facilities including: Administration Building; Changing Facility and Public Restroom; natural and Astroturf fields; bleachers; dormitories; cafeteria and meeting rooms; gymnasium and clinic; and storage and maintenance buildings.

The CIFA requested the Government’s assistance in locating land suitable for the needs and two Crown properties of Poindexter Road were chosen.
