Cayman National Corporation’s IT team recently donated six personal computers
to support the programme of the Sunrise Adult Training Centre.
Denny Swaby, Chief IT Officer, along with his team of Alton Davis and
Celester Anderson, made the presentation to Roberta Gordon on behalf of the
Centre.
Claudia Welds, Executive Assistant, Corporate Communications, expressed her
enthusiasm to provide assistance to this special programme.
“We recognize that these students are special people with some limitations,
but we know that there is no upper limit to what individuals are capable of
doing with their minds; there is no age limit that bars them from beginning, and
there is no obstacle that cannot be overcome if they persist and believe. We at
Cayman National are proud to be able to contribute to making possible what may
seem impossibilities or obstacles.”
Mrs Gordon was equally enthusiastic to receive the computers. “We are very
grateful to Cayman National for their continuing support of the Sunrise Centre
Programme,” she said. “Computers are becoming a vital tool in many aspects of
our programme and this donation will be used to promote vocational testing,
training and support our functional literacy initiatives.”
