Caymanian
Timothy Adam joined Cable & Wireless in August 1973. However, before then he would come into the company on weekends, where he worked without pay, doing what he loved. When he became officially employed with the company, he started as a technician Tim started his education in telecommunications in the United Kingdom. Later, he received a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering at the Florida International University. From 1995–1997 Tim served as the General Manager of Cable & Wireless Anguilla. There he ran a staff of over 100 members and developed a very good relationship with the Government. From 1998 until to date Tim has been Chief Executive for the Cayman Islands. Tim manages a team of about 250 employees. Cable & Wireless is a role model for the business community in the Cayman Islands; furthermore Tim Adam is an excellent Caymanian role model for his management “dream team” as he calls them. Under Tim's leadership, the company prides itself on its community involvement. The recent Star Quest competition attracted hundreds to its auditions. Cable & Wireless sponsors a diverse range of community events and initiatives. Rotarian Tim is married with three sons..
