Burning garbage is an offence

With so much debris around, many residents have been tempted to deal with the
issue themselves, by burning it in public places or yards. As a result the RCIP
has received several reports about people burning garbage and are taking the
opportunity to remind the public that it is an offence to burn refuse under the
Town and Country Law and anyone caught doing it will be prosecuted.
