Post Ivan volunteer Clean-Up appeal

Friday, October 29, 2004

There are still lots of things that residents can do to help in the ‘Post Ivan Cleanup’ and the Cayman Islands Tourism Association are currently appealing for extra volunteers and equipment.

The Tourism Association has teamed up with various members of the tourist sector and the Chamber of Commerce, and is working on cleaning up tourist beats, including beaches, reefs and various attractions.

These clean-up efforts are taking place over the next few weeks and began 24 October. Aside from more volunteers the ‘clean up team’ are in need of snorkel equipment, tanks, boats and boat captains, as well as any kind of cleaning tools and equipment such as rakes and shovels.

If you have any that you are willing to contribute to the effort please contact Najah Lewis CITA 929-7383 or Email: Najah@cita.ky
