Water restoration heads to the East

Wednesday,  November 3, 2004

The Water Authority – Cayman said work on restoring water services to all customers is continuing in the eastern districts. The National Roads Authority (NRA) is working to repair the roads in the areas east of Midland Acres and the reinstatement of this main road corridor along the south-eastern coast of the Island is necessary for the Water Authority to conduct pipeline repairs.

Once these road works have been completed, water will be restored as quickly as possible to all residents in the eastern districts.

Last week, the Authority commenced repair work in East End by removing sections of damaged pipeline near the junction of Austin Conolly Drive and John McLean Drive. Work is also expected to commence the first week in November on Seaview Road near the East End Primary School. The Water Authority will install new pipes upon completion of the temporary road surface by the NRA.
