Cleanup efforts are set to take place on 7 November.

Immigration Issues
There are a number of applications for the grant, renewal or amendment of work permits that were submitted prior to the hurricane that have not yet been processed. Applicants are requested to withdraw any application that is no longer required as soon as possible. Persons who had previously submitted an application for a Trade & Business license should advise whether they wish to proceed with their application. With respect to companies with Business Staffing Plans who have had to lay off employees, there may be a need to have their Business Staffing Plan adjusted to reflect their new needs.
Employers are reminded that where an employee has a valid work permit for a particular employer, and he or she ceases to be employed by that employer, the latter must give written notice of the termination of employment forthwith to the Chief Immigration Officer. If employers fail to so, they are guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine of CI$5,000.
