LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Insurance companies should honour policies

Wednesday, November 10, 2004

Dear Sir:

What the insurance companies are doing to their insureds is despicable. Their insureds have lost everything and cannot possibly rebuild their lives without the insurance they have kept in place for years, just in case of a disaster.

Well, the disaster has occurred and the insurance companies should honour their policies without delay. I am disgusted at the unprofessional approach these companies are taking with its policyholders who have lost everything. It would behoove the Caymanian government to see that its residents are treated fairly and expediently.

It has been nearly 2 months and my son-in-law has been given the runaround on both his home and auto insurance claims. This is simply unforgivable, unprofessional, fraudulent business practices being conducted on your island.
