AT&T Wireless has again helped the community by donating five phones to the Disaster Assistance Centres (DACs). The phones will allow the public to phone district DACs to get information and to ask questions of the staff.
“Having the phones makes the centres more accessible to the public,” said DAC Assistant Coordinator, Samuel Rose.
Disaster Assistance Centres (DACs), a project of the Cayman Islands Recovery Operation, have been open since 10 November and are set up in five locations across the Island.
Each provides information to residents on health and safety issues, including locating counselling services. Staff can also assist with filling out applications for grants and employment registration.
“AT&T Wireless is proud to support the recovery operation in its effort to set up district DACs,” said AT&T Wireless General Manager, Raul Nicholson-Coe.”
