  • $1,000,000 lottery prize fake or real?
Caution. There was a large scam this year in the US with people receiving similar letters. I received one myself and then did a search on Google. There were many stories of people having to send large payments in advance and they never saw the money promised - David Hinman

  • This is indeed no more than a scam. Letters have been received by numerous Grand Cayman residents over the past six months announcing a lottery win to the recipient. These scams are quite simple and follow a trend of similar scams sent to persons private e-mail addresses: if you are ‘stupid’ enough to believe that you have won money in a lottery that you have never entered, you will be asked to deposit a sum of money to cover arrangement fees for your winnings to a foreign bank account. This is the last you will ever hear about it: There are various websites that you can look at which give details of these scams, how they work etc e.g. http://www.fraudwatchinternational.com - Eugene Nolan

  • I got a similar letter from Global lottery in an email. I researched it online and found out that it was in fact a scam. My letter basically said the same thing about keeping it out of public notice. Go to www.fraudwatchinternational.com. You can see a list of scams there - Stephanie King

  • Fake Fake Fake. Global Lotto is a fake lottery. There is no Global Lottery Company. It is a 419 Advance Fee Fraud. Soon she will get an email asking for X amount of Dollar$ for administration. Tell her to forget it and get on with life - Ian Dixon

  • Definitely fake! It is a well-known scam. If Mrs. Schrader replies to the letter, she will be asked to pay “processing fees” or something similar, to receive her prize. When she has done so, she will never hear from the scammers again and will lose her money. I have received many such letters myself, including the exact same one, twice! Notice how the “winnings” are in dollars, but the total cash prize is in pounds. It is all a fake!- Mike from Dublin, Ireland

Good letter Mr. Clifford. You told us there was corruption and now it is blatantly obvious to even the most die hard UDP supporters that serious corruption exist in the UDP. All we ask Mr. Clifford is that you keep this information ever present in the minds of our people. We should never forget - Your Constituent
