Family fun at Bayshore

Wednesday,  December 15, 2004

Father Christmas handing out candy was just the icing on the cake for kids who attended last Saturday, (11 December) evening’s Christmas family party at the new Bayshore shopping mall on the Harbour Front in George Town.

Organised by Kirk Freeport, sno-cones, bouncy castles, inflatable slides and much more were all on hand to give Cayman’s children some light relief.

The event, which took place from 5pm until 8pm, was well attended and organisers say the children had so much fun that they would make the evening an annual occurrence.

Kirk Freeport traditionally enjoys putting on events to coincide with the Christmas Parade of Lights, that usually takes place at the George Town harbour at this time of the year. As this popular event will not happen this year the company decided that it would focus on producing a fun event for kids, to relieve them of the stress and strains of life since Ivan.

This Saturday, 18 December, Kirk Freeport will be hosting another fun event along Cardinal Avenue in George Town. The road will be closed to traffic from 6pm until 9pm to allow local residents the chance to shop for Christmas and there will be live music to enjoy.
