Earthquake heard on cruise ship

Dear Sir,
My family and I were having dinner on the second floor of the vessel Carnival’s Miracle.
At 6:20 pm a sound started that sounded as if we in the dining room were grinding the ship into the bottom of the ocean.
We would have been a little over two hours away from Grand Cayman.
We were amazed at how quiet everyone kept it.
