Total togetherness in East End at Heritage Field

The community of East End came together last Friday evening 21 January to enjoy ‘Total Togetherness’ a collaboration of reggae and soca music, a pre- party for the weekend’s special jet-ski event.

The evening was hosted by Digicel, sponsors of the Heroes’ Day surf challenge and the communication company used the evening to give away prizes and promos as well as introduce the big race, which took place on Monday, 24 January 2004.

Entertainment was provided by Dj Pepsi from Renaissance Disco, Dj Jazzy B from Vibe FM and Eternal Vibes out of Miami, Florida. 

They all combined reggae and soca to complete the night’s festivities. Shane Edwards, promoter of the 2005 East End Surf Challenge gave the guests a run down of the events planned for the Monday contest. He introduced the challengers, where they were from and whom they represented.

Digicel the major sponsor of the 2005 East End Surf Challenge, was pleased to be able to bring such an exciting competition to East End and it was the first time East End got a taste of the street parties that have become a regular occurrence in Gorge Town.
