PC Alex Schulz and North Side Primary School Teacher
Tunisia Barnes with year three students

Wednesday,  February 9, 2005

Community Policing Officer for the North Side district, Alex Schulz recently visited students at the local Primary School to assist with their fundraiser.

Throughout the day, the year three students sold lemonade in order to raise money to go on a field trip to Cayman Brac in April.

Officer Schulz assisted with the sales along with parents and guardians and appealed to the general public to help the children in making their dream come true, by contributing what they could.

Officer Schulz said he is no stranger to the North Side Primary School, “I regularly visit the school, especially after Hurricane Ivan. I have had several chats with the students regarding road safety, drug awareness, general life skills lessons, as well as positive leadership.”

Children, being the nation’s future, must always take priority emphasized officer Schulz.

People interested in making a donation can contact North Side Primary School Teacher Ms Tunisia Barnes at 925-8864.
