The CI Marathon
The 10k relay, the half marathon and the much anticipated Cayman Islands Marathon will take place on Sunday 6 March 2005.
Ladies Football
The Scholar’s women’s soccer team is inviting players to meet for training on Wednesday at 5:30 pm and on Sundays at 2 pm at the Ed Bush Sports Complex. For more information contact Coach Greg 516 3254.
Junior Rugby Fest
This year’s IRG / Knight Frank Youth Rugby Fest will take place at the South Sound Field on 5 March. Coaches are being asked to get a minimum of three teams per age group ready for the tournament. Organisers are also in need of referees and anyone who is interested in volunteering or administering. The Rugby Fest is for kids from all the age groups under 18 and matches are 8 minutes each way.
Hash House
The Hash House Harriers will be meeting at Silver Thatch Drive in Tropical Gardens on Monday 7 March. For details contact Ricahrd Crawshaw on 945 0660.
Triathlons
The Cayman Islands Triathlon Association (CITA) and Butterfield Bank will be joining forces again this year to offer athletes two triathlon events in Grand Cayman. The first race, the Butterfield Bank Sprint Distance Triathlon, is set for Sunday, 20 March at the Seven Mile Public Beach. The second event will be the annual Butterfield Bank Olympic Distance. The event features a 1.5 km swim; 40 km cycle and 10 km run and promises to be every bit as competitive as previous years.
