CEO - Out of the ordinary gifts for everyone

Rosie Jamieson Carol O’Neill, Co-owner,
CEO Ltd

Variety abounds at CEO Ltd

Monday,  March 7, 2005

When a prominent business official returned from lunch one day to find a four-foot high model ship, wall-mounted in his office, he described it as a once-in-a-lifetime kind of surprise. When he heard that the wooden beauty was actually assembled right there in his office while he was out, the gift took on even greater meaning.

And it was local entrepreneurs Rosie Jamieson and Carol O’Neill; better known as CEO Ltd Corporate Gifts who were responsible for making the surprise go so well after supplying, making and assembling the special corporate gift.

Whether it is the exclusive gift to meet the most discerning of tastes, or just the right tiny token to leave the receiver in total awe, CEO Ltd. offers a range of options that defy description. The company can supply many things some of which are displayed on the glass shelving throughout their wonderland-of-a-boutique located on Shedden Road.

Glancing around the room you can spot a tower-shaped bit of crystal with an embedded clock, a set of silver salad servers with handles adorned with brown stones, a wooden cherry-coloured box safekeeping a set of time honoured Waterman pens, choice leather money clips, H&K Steel sculptures, gourmet condiments, sequined evening purses out of the corridors of New York fashion houses and much, much more.

And of course, there are the show-stopping model ships that are assembled on the spot by Store Manager, Chris Danan.

“We have three categories of gifts,” said Rosie Jamieson, Co-owner of CEO. “Our Corporate Gifts are not items that are usually stocked and they may be specially ordered for conferences, corporation to corporation gift giving, seasonal giveaway items and for other occasions.”

“Our General Gifts may be selected from the items we carry in the store and our Specialty Gifts are those that are ordered by persons who don’t even know what they want for that special person who may already have everything or who may have peculiar preferences,” Ms Jamieson explained.

“We are primarily purveyors of corporate gifts and high end items and as such we were particularly pleased when we were able to coin a name for the store that spoke directly to that, with CEO meaning Chief Executive Officer while at the same time having it match the initial letters of my business partner’s full name, Carol Elizabeth O’Neill,” Ms Jamieson revealed. “The idea for the store was Carol’s. She had been exposed to international gift fairs while living in New York and thought that there was a demand for our type of store here,” she added.

“Even our less expensive in-store items are unusual,” said Chris Danan, CEO Ltd’s Store Manager, who pointed out handmade wrist bracelets with some of the ornaments created from hand-blown glass.

“Because of the singular appeal and look of our items we never stock many of any one thing. This ensures that we will always be able to meet our objective of supplying a unique gift that would not be seen on the Islands or already exchanged among our clientele,” Mr Danan said.

“That is why over the seasons we change stock or we try to have big sales at least a minimum of twice per year to make room for newer items,” Mr Danan added.
