Burke Connolly

Credited with playing a vital role in getting the systems of the Civil Service Association Co-operative Credit Union office up and running immediately after the passage of Hurricane Ivan is Burke Connolly from North-Side.

As Systems Administrator he literally worked around the clock salvaging computers and saving vital data.

“From the day after the storm (13 September) to the 21 of November 2004 there was absolutely no rest but it was important to get the system going again at our new location since our building was seriously affected by the hurricane.”

Mr Connolly was among the persons who received special pass from the police to travel late at nights on his way home after toiling to get the system back on track.
