New attorney for Maples and Calder

Sara Galletly (Centre) appeared before Justice Henderson (right) on 25 February this year for admission as an Attorney at Law. Her application was sponsored by Maples and Calder and made by the firm’s Head of Litigation, Andrew Jones, QC, (left).

Ms Galletly graduated from the University of Edinburgh with honours in Scots Law. After completing the CPE and LPC courses, she then trained with Labarro Nathanson in London and when she qualified as a lawyer in 2001, she joined their banking and financing department.

Ms Galletly brings to Maples and Calder her vast knowledge in banking transactions and has acted for both borrowers and lenders on syndicated and bilateral deals, involving corporates, individuals, limited partnerships and property funds. Her experience covers the areas of asset finance and refinancings, structured finance, MBOs, MBIs, corporate reconstructions, securitisation and derivatives.
